Fostering Self-Sufficiency and Transformation

Ruth Sisters Transitional House is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming lives by addressing homelessness, instability, and lack of support for vulnerable populations. Founded in 2020, we serve men and women transitioning from incarceration or drug detox facilities, at-risk youth, and underserved families in high-risk neighborhoods.

Our services include safe transitional housing, case management, employment assistance, mental health referrals, and life-skills programs that empower individuals to rebuild with dignity and resilience. Through strategic partnerships, such as the Southern University IDA Program supporting families in homeownership, and youth-focused initiatives funded by the ReCast Baton Rouge and LYFE grants, we strengthen our ability to provide both immediate relief and long-term empowerment.

At Ruth Sisters Transitional House, we are committed to fostering resilience, self-sufficiency, and community transformation—ensuring that every individual and family we serve has the opportunity to thrive.
